Technology
Our state of the art dental technology allows us to offer our patients sources that are faster, better and less intrusive than most people might expect.
The latest computer technology is maximised for patient comfort.
Among the services we offer are:
Cerec

CEREC 3 is a modular CAD/CAM system for creating all-ceramic restorations in the course of a single treatment session and is the hardware basis for the new 3D software. CEREC 3 is designed for single-tooth or multiple (quadrant) restorations. The two-unit design concept means that you can design a new restoration while the milling process continues in the background.

Laser
Sirona has introduced the SIROLaser, a compact diode laser. Just what you have come to expect over the years from the world's only full-range supplier of technical products for dentistry. The versatile SIROLaser is much more compact than comparable diode lasers, yet provides optimum performance for all areas of application. The laser unit can be used for endodontics, periodontology or surgery.
Compact and powerful!
The SIROLaser operates at a wavelength of 980 nanometers and has a power output varying from 0.5 to 7 watts. Thanks to its compact dimensions (54 x 87 x 190 millimeters) and low weight (450 grams), the SIROLaser can be placed directly on the dentist element and can be easily integrated into the treatment workflow.

Air Abrasion
A computer controlled sandblaster for teeth, used to gently blow away decay painlessly. Air abrasion has many advantages over rotary instrumentation. Many of the air abrasion procedures can be performed without anesthesia. It does not lead to microfracturing of the enamel. It is extremely conservative and can be tuned to remove only irreversibly demineralized tooth structure. It yields a structurally very sound cavity profile. It can be utilized in conjunction with laser-fluorescence caries diagnostic equipment to detect occlusal pit and fissure decay at a very early stage, and to treat the lesion atraumatically. It's capabilities and user-friendly attributes can't help but allow it to progress and its use to become more widespread in the dental profession. |
Heal Ozone

A computer controlled device that dispenses ozone gas into your smaller cavities to kill the bacteria and then allow the teeth to heal themselves. This means there is no removal of tooth structure and it is a completely painless procedure.
Diagnodent

A laser device that measures fluorescence within your teeth in order to diagnose and quantify new decay that is otherwise often impossible to detect.
O.P.G. (Orthopantomagraph)

A computer controlled jaw scanner x-ray machine. It is used to radiographically check your jaws, sinuses, jaw joints and teeth for abnormalities (e.g. osteoarthritis, abscesses, cysts, gum disease and bone pathology including cancer).
Digital Xrays
| A digital sensor used in conjunction with a special xray machine to put your xray images instantaneously onto the computer monitor so that you and your dentist can diagnose any conditions present. This technology uses 90% less radiation. |
The Wand

A computer controlled local anaesthetic injection machine used to provide you with painfree injections.
Intraoral Camera

A digital camera the size of a five cent piece, used to show you all of the conditions found in your mouth so all diagnosis is evidence based, and easily conveyed to you.
Steam Incubator

Duxton Dental tests bacterial vials on a weekly basis to ensure that their state-of-the-art autoclave is functioning at optimum sterilisation.
Apex Locator / Vitality Tester

An electronic device that is used to accurately determine the length of your roots during root canal treatment, it has a separate module which is a great tool to test whether teeth are alive or dead.
