My role at Duxton Dental is to meet & greet existing and new clients to the Practice either in person or by phone. I thoroughly enjoy the interaction with the clients and enjoy being part of a great team.ah
Career History My introduction to ‘Dental’ was in 1992 when I landed a job as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist at a small private practice in Oamaru where I worked for 3 ½ years.
A move to Christchurch in 1996 opened up a whole new ‘Dental’ world.
Working as an assistant to a Dental Therapist (School Dental Nurse) was my first employment in the big city. From there I moved on to the Oral Health Service which was incredibly interesting, gaining experience with the Oral Surgeons and working alongside the House Surgeons.
Over the years I have been privileged to work part-time at several Specialist Practices: Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Orthodontists and Endodontists.
My employment with Duxton Dental began in 2000 on a part-time basis working in both clinical & front office positions.
Qualifications 1997 NZDA Dental Assistant Course - Top Marks in Canterbury
1997 - 2009 First Aid & CPR Training on a regular basis
2007 Nobel Biocare Surgical Assistant Workshop
2008 Prime Practice Advanced Telephone Skills
Interests I am married to Martin and have two children – Madalyn & Declan.
I love spending time with family and catching up with friends over a wine or two. I enjoy being captivated by a good book, going for walks around the port hills and watching sport. When time allows I also play around with canvas and paint doing collages and building tiled mosaics.
