Our People | Clinical
For 9 years I lived in Edinburgh, Scotland. During this time I worked in a few different practices that specialized in Endodontics and Orthodontics which I have been able to incorporate into general practice.
Life outside work is always busy, filling in my time catching up with family and good friends here and overseas. I really enjoyed my travels and since arriving back in New Zealand, I am always planning for a new adventure. I also really enjoy getting out there and supporting all the local Christchurch events and festivals.
My role at Duxton Dental is to assist Christine Duxbury and Hayley Hall, to support them in the day to day running of this practice.
I enjoy caring for, understanding and supporting our patients. I have been in this role at Duxton Dental since 1997.
I started my career in dental as a school leaver first working with a dental technician for a few months, then as an assistant in private practice in Christchurch.

Hi my name is Krissy Clement, I am a returning staff member to the Duxton Dental team. Before leaving the practice in 2006 to live and work in Australia I was Grahame Dutton’s chairside assistant for a number of years. I have been waiting patiently for many years to be able to re-join the team, because not only is it the most favourite and rewarding job I’ve had in the dental industry, it’s also the most professional and technologically advanced.
I started my career as an assistant in Balclutha in 1996, moving to Christchurch 2002 I successfully gained a position with the Duxton Dental team, after many happy years I left to travel and work in Australia. Since then I’ve worked between New Zealand and Australia. Now making Christchurch my home I’m well settled back in. I will be working on a Friday assisting Rhonda Gooding in the surgery.
Professional development and continuing education are ongoing with regular attendances to conferences and Dental Hygiene focused courses and seminars.
I’m a first time mum at 42, I have a beautiful new daughter Grace, a teenage stepdaughter Ella and a staunch Cantabrian partner Brent. We live with our two cool cats and I spend any spare time I have reading a good book or walking through our lovely city.
I started at Duxton Dental in March 2015. I became a dental assistant in 2005 at a general dental surgery in Christchurch where I completed the NZDA dental assistant certificate. This is when my passion to be able to provide patients with the best possible care and ensure their dental experiences are positive ones really started, especially when I had been an extremely anxious patient myself. I then worked for an endodontist before relocating to Australia for 6 years. I have over 10years of dental assisting experience in New Zealand and Australia.
I have attended many training courses and seminars held by Prime Practice and Platinum Professional Development.
On returning to New Zealand I worked at an Orthodontic Practice. Another area of the dental industry I am passionate about.
I feel proud to be part of the amazing team at Duxton Dental and providing patients with the best possible dental care.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our two dogs.
I enjoy sewing, growing my own vegetable’s and cooking/baking.
