Charlotte Bryden - Duxton Dental Christchurch

Charlotte Bryden

Finance Manager

I am a Southland girl, having completed my tertiary education part-time at SIT via Otago University while working for McCulloch & Partners Chartered Accountants. I took my OE to the UK in 1989 and worked for Harrods International at Heathrow Airport.   After two and a half years and meeting my Christchurch based husband to be – Paul, we returned to Christchurch. I worked as a Management Accountant for Canterbury Health for five years before our three children were born.

Gradually I started assisting small businesses, sports clubs and NPOs with bookkeeping, wages, GST and account preparation and as time has allowed the small client base has grown. I have become very familiar with the Xero accounting & reporting package and this has allowed me to be much more time efficient.

I met the Dutton family eight years ago, through our daughters who have remained very close friends. My position at Duxton Dental is to manage the financial side of the business working alongside the Admin team, and to provide support to Grahame & Christine with financial reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce  (Accounting) 1987 Otago University

Sonia Perry - Duxton Dental Christchurch

Sonia Perry

Patient Co-ordinator

I joined the Duxton Dental team in 2000 as a part-time clinical assistant. My hours increased over the years along with a variety of roles within the practice including front office and then patient coordinator in 2011. I get so much enjoyment out of my role as patient coordinator, meeting with new patients, putting them at ease, listening to their concerns and supporting their decisions. I get to spend time with each patient explaining in detail their personalised treatment options and answering their questions.

We receive such good feedback about this and they have a better understanding and control over their oral health. I feel fortunate to have met some lovely patients over the years and always look forward to seeing them at their routine check-ups. Everybody within the practice plays such an important role in providing the best possible care for our patients, it is such a privilege to be part of such an awesome team!
