Sally Nell

Finance Manager

I am a country girl who went nursing then married a farmer, Graham. This led to chasing sheep, feeding hay, driving tractors, living in an implement shed, buying Mt Algidus Station, teaching our four children, cooking for lots of men, and going grocery shopping once every three months. We then bought a Christchurch factory where I ran the office.

After 12 years as a Duxton Dental patient, I progressed to working here behind the scenes, looking after the general running of the practice, handling the financial side and most importantly staff welfare.

I find time for bike riding with Sue Smith-one of our wonderful Dental Assistants, as well as reading, walking, gardening, sewing and keeping track of what my children and grandchildren are up to.

Sonia Perry

Patient Co-ordinator

I joined the Duxton Dental team in 2000 as a part-time clinical assistant. My hours increased over the years along with a variety of roles within the practice including front office and then patient coordinator in 2011. I get so much enjoyment out of my role as patient coordinator, meeting with new patients, putting them at ease, listening to their concerns and supporting their decisions. I get to spend time with each patient explaining in detail their personalised treatment options and answering their questions.

We receive such good feedback about this and they have a better understanding and control over their oral health. I feel fortunate to have met some lovely patients over the years and always look forward to seeing them at their routine check-ups. Everybody within the practice plays such an important role in providing the best possible care for our patients, it is such a privilege to be part of such an awesome team!
